Mumbai Sustainability Centre was founded in 2016 by Rishi Aggarwal with a belief that cities hold the key to sustainable development and need to be supported through practical pathways. Rishi has been closely involved with numerous environmental issues in Mumbai since the turn of the century.
Cities and urban agglomerations have a huge impact on the natural environment. They are highly resource intensive and cause destruction of habitat near and far besides impacting the health of those who reside in them. Sustainable cities can make a difference to the health of the planet and the residents. But sustainable cities are not accidental, they require a lot of collaboration and deliberate action from their residents.
