Donation proceeds from this fund are used for meeting the general day to expenses of running the Jaunpur Range Eco Restoration and Research Area project in Tehri Tehsil, Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Details of expenses will be provided to all donors.
The project aims to bring support to one of the driest of regions in the outer Himalayas. Through the project an attempt is made to improve the local ecology and also preserve local cultural practices relating to agriculture and craftsmanship both of which are fading because of poor financial returns and out migration.
We are creating nurseries of local tree saplings, taking up unsused farms for regenrative farming, revisiting local skills of local craftsmen and organising tours and workshops.
